POWERED BY

Our main OS and platform is Linux, a free UNIX clone developed by Linus Torvaldos. It is currently taking the internet world by storm. Many companies, departmental and university servers are shifting towards it. Together with the No:1 Web Server Apache, they form a strong opposition to the commercial software vendors

Linux is very robust in terms of stability and usage and performs benchmarks much higher than other systems. Current kernel is 2.0.30. As bugfixes and holes are discovered, we apply our patches to prevent security breaches.

Our servers use Apache, the No:1 HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) Server on the internet. Unlike Microsoft Information Server and Netscape Fasttrack, .

Apache is developed and maintained by voluntary effort. It draws its strenght from from numerous programmers on internet. Therefore Apache is not bounded by proprietary rules.

We follow the latest developments for the Apache project and upgrade it as new realeses, bug fixes and patches come out. For maximum security, we stay in close contact with apache activity groups to find and fix the security holes that may appear from time to time. Currently we are running Version 1.2.5 (latest official release) and we are testing Version 1.3.4 beta. For more information about Apache Web Servers, read our apache manual.

For secure transactions, we use cryptographically strong, 128-Bit encryption on our servers unlike the most of the competition where the key lenghts are limited only to export version 40-Bits. Apache-SSL Web Server does not limit the key lenght to 40-Bits like Netscape Commerce Server, hence offering maximum security against network hackers or occasional eavesdroppers.

At today's computing powers, 128-Bit RSA crypto algorithms are counted as almost impossible to break. For in-depth analysis of cryptography, read our crypto FAQs.

Aditionally SSLeay libraries use international versions of RSA crypto algorithms, therefore they are not limited by US export laws. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS) is implemeted using SSLeay cryptography program on Apache Web Server.
